The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.
SASSA might be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the website lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company stage developed for intervention activities a superior influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to allow the servicing of all consumers and boost use of SRD Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
